Click to report rating    3/17/11   1   I just don't feel he's cut out to fly the plane. There's an overlying nervousness and a general sense of tension amongst the group. I don't know the man, but I am beginning to suspect that Mike is a little tough to work with. He's never dealt with stress well on the air, and being the leader is stressful. Too bad. I still like Don and Mike. Don't solo show is fantastic. I'd love to see Mike figure things out too.  RID: 29498

7/23/09   4   I enjoyed the Mike O'Meara show. I believe it was the only comedy/humor program on the air that didn't have a sports angle to it. Those who criticized it can pat themselves on the back for reducing listening choices to sports, news, or pop music - 24/7. Enjoy, ya morons!  RID: 24768

6/27/09   1   Mike has NO sincerity. False racial compassion. Timid worldly knowlege. Like Diane Reem of PBS, Mike is dead on the air. Ditch Mike & Buzz and Rob & BA would make for a good entertaining show.  RID: 24595

4/28/09   2   I used to listen to D&M everday for 5 years before they went of the air. I thought Mike was very very funny but when hes the main point of the show its TERRIBLE! I wish is was better becuase Big O and Dukes are excellent and the Junkies are good. And i just change stations at 3 o'clock now and listen to 88.5 The problem with the show is Mike, he seems like he wont let anyone else have the spotlight for more than 5 seconds. Like when robb was explaining his kids illness Mike would cut in every 10 seconds to make a comment. It is pathetic.  RID: 24149

4/18/09   1   I am so sad to hear the show that I loved so much turn into all the other shows I don't like at all. Unfortunately the horrible death of Fredia was the death of the show, the old Don died with Fredia that is understandable. It is to sad that Mike, Buzz and Rob , can't make the magic happen by themselves, I love them all. I really wanted the Mike O Meara show to be the show I loved for so many years, It was just not meant to be, I have stopped listening to the show because it is painful listening to the struggle the three of them go through every day, I wish I could say more positive things, but there just aren't any.  RID: 24063

1/16/09   1   It's a radio comedy show...without the comedy. "A pull my finger" level of humor. Hey, a memo to the O'Meara staffers writing the 5 star reviews here --> An abundance of fake forced laughter does not make a comedy show.  RID: 23087

1/16/09   1   Nothing works here. The interaction between Mike, Buzz, and Rob is more tedious than it is funny. There are too many quests on the show, and most of them have nothing of interest to say (often they are not even given the opportunity to answer questions because Mike keeps interrupting them). The addition of Beth Anne only slows the show down even further. There's a reason why both Don and that radio station down in North Carolina got rid of her.The Mike O'Meara Show has become everything that Don and Mike used to rail against when they'd go on their rants about the radio business. The worst part of it is the fact that Mike, Rob, and Buzz are good, likable people. It's truly a shame to see these good people dragging themselves down with this train wreck of a show.  RID: 23081

Click to report rating    10/22/08   5   Great show. Better than D & M because it includes more people and has more variety. Keep up the entertainment!  RID: 21790

10/8/08   5   The best radio show in the country. Cant find anything funnier or more entertaining than the Mike O'Meara show.  RID: 21571

Click to report rating    9/26/08   2   Listened to the Radio Gods for years, and I was always Mike guy, but I don't think the shows going to make it. WAY too many dumb games that are dull to listen to, and that fantasy football draft show was agonizing. Don was the edge of the show. Its like the Beatles without John.  RID: 21372

Click to report rating    9/22/08   1   If you ever wondered what "The Tonight Show" would have been like had Ed McMahon been the replacement for Johnny Carson then listen to the Mike O'Meara show and you will know. This show is dull and boring to the point of tedium.  RID: 21269

Click to report rating    9/21/08   4   I listened to Don and Mike for years and really miss Don, but Mike bringing in Rob and Buzz has been great. I listen via podcast to cut out all of the commercials and it's like visiting my favorite dysfunctional family everyday. If you are looking for some great radio give Mike and the gang a try.  RID: 21251

Click to report rating    9/11/08   1   I have listen to D and M for 12 years. Don was the task master that kept the show moving when ever it dragged. Now it only drags. Way too many comercials. Beth Ann needs to stay off the mic and quit dummping content that might be entertaining, not FCC fodder. Personally I never listen anymore except for Big O and Dukes. This is sad since I was loyal to D and M. Mike just can't Captain a show.  RID: 21049

Click to report rating    9/8/08   1   Atomically horrible. Plain and simple. I really tried to like it but, come on - Buzz babes? It is quite simply a suck fest. I feel the funny being sucked out of the world whenever this show airs. A previous comment stated something to the effect of "having funny moments." Yes - all of the elements from the old show are still funny. It's missing the cynicism - the bite, the edge. For Christ sake they had Rob's best friend from 1985 on - what the hell? This show is loaded with all of the sucky elements both Don and Mike used to go ballistic over. Some examples: The jive contests - the power of ten - lame. Olympic athlete or runway model - what crap. Even the freakin intros are stupid, unfunny and way too long. I find myself forwarding through most of the show. A recent highlight - Patton Oswalt. Too bad both Mike and Rob talked over thim constantly. I wanted to throw my ipod out the window.  RID: 21021

Click to report rating    8/30/08   1   I thought the show had potential at first but its getting worse each day. The show with the fantasy football picks was the final straw. I had co-workers tell me about their fantasy football leagues and I had to stiffle myself from yawning in their faces. It doesn't get any more interesting being on the radio! And all the commercial breaks, I couldn't take it anymore!! Maybe if they drank on air 5 days a week instead of just on Friday, they could somehow pull it off....  RID: 20642

Click to report rating    8/21/08   5   Awesome show! Don and Mike were great, but the new show is even better. I thought I would miss Don, but now it's nice not having him there.  RID: 20486

Click to report rating    8/16/08   1   Mike's show is absolutely terrible! I listened to D&M for 12 years - this new show isn't even close to providing the same entertainment value. Too much liberal politics - try to provide entertainment.  RID: 20376

Click to report rating    8/16/08   4   The best of the wjfk lineup other than the junkies. It is a very good show. One thing that is good about this show is the simple fact that He does not try to make this show like Don and Mike without Don. It is his own show and his own vibe. I love that. Really the golden show of the lineup with the junkies at number 2.  RID: 20375

Click to report rating    8/7/08   5   The show has a great new positive vibe. It's a shame that they couldn't regain this vibe with Don Geronimo. Overall, the show is far more entertaining and more listener friendly.  RID: 20233

Click to report rating    8/7/08   2   I listened to the D&M show for years and this is definitely a disappointment. I expected it to get off to a slow start but this isn't just slow, it's **painfully** slow. And I don't know what the deal is with Robb and BA's on-air running bit, but Robb comes across as being so nasty it's creepy, and Mike's tantrums don't help. As it is, the whole thing seems terribly amateurish and poorly thought out. Which is a shame. The D&M show doesn't deserve to be remembered in the same breath as this show.  RID: 20232

Click to report rating    7/14/08   5   It took a little time for the show to find its legs, but now it's up and running. The re-addation of Beth-Ann was a big plus. Robb and Buzz bring the same goodness, and while Mike can sometimes display uncomfortable anger, he is as good as ever. Love it!  RID: 19833

Click to report rating    7/7/08   3   I was always a Mike guy, and Don was understandably different over the past few years--but now I realize how important Don was to the overall life of the show. BUT--still like Mike, like that Buzz has a bigger role, Rob has his moments (could do without BA's constant cackle) so I'll keep listening because the show has gotten better and our local radion really sucks.  RID: 19748

Click to report rating    7/3/08   5   I had been listening to Don and Mike for 10 years. The Mike O'Meara show started off a little slow but I can now say that I enjoy this show more then I ever enjoyed Don and Mike.  RID: 19717

Click to report rating    6/30/08   5   It was awful for like 2 months, but i think it has really hit its stride, im starting to enjoy it very much wothout Don.  RID: 19679

Click to report rating    6/30/08   1   I used to find Mike almost more hilarious and enjoyable than D, but it wasn't until D's departure that I realized there was a synergy between them; Mike by himself is less effective than Mike alongside D. The new MOM show is painstakingly boring. I've given it numerous attempts but it's truly awful. My first bit of advice, get the mic away from Rob for God's sake! Next, get racy and start pushing the envelope like the old days.  RID: 19678

Click to report rating    6/20/08   3   Mike's show is okay. Maybe, it will grow into something better once BA leaves. Hint hint. Hey! don't forget to rate Jack Diamond's awful show.  RID: 19545

Click to report rating    6/19/08   4   This show is different from D&M, but in a good way to me. Don over the last few years was just not the same, understandably so. I was happy he left for his own sake. If you did not like the serious moments of the original D&M show, this one has more so tis not for you. But I like when they talk politics and real world stuff. Buzz and Rob are growing into their new roles, but BA needs to be there less as does Joe. Some day I hope Don comes back, don't we all.  RID: 19528

Click to report rating    6/13/08   2   dude, i have tried to like this show, and it does have its moments i guess. but ever since the departure of "the other radio god" this show fails to have any deity factor to it. the addition of Beth Ann is a deal breaker for me she wasnt funny then or now and adds nothing but the memory of chickens clucking. I dont see how they couldnt realize this they had her once it sucked they even tried Leah Remini and that was a disaster. love Buzz, Love Mike, love Rob, but as much as i wanted to love the show i find myself listening less and less without even realizing it. at least i still have rome. now i have to find a way fill my own daily west coast 12 to 4 slot with something else.. suggestions?  RID: 19442

Click to report rating    5/26/08   1   What's the point of this show? The star is gone. And, the former sidekick, Mike OMeara is just not funny enough, quick enough or interesting enough to pull off the host gig. No one asked Ed McMahon to host The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson left. It made no sense for Mike to takeover as host the afternoon show either.  RID: 19191

Click to report rating    4/30/08   5   The Mike O'Meara Show it the best new show on the radio in the D.C. market. 10 days old. Great list of personality s. Mike, Buzz, Rob, Joe, and Beth Ann. MOM forever  RID: 18785
