This was easily the greatest radio show of all time. I only had the priviledge of listening to this duo off and on from 2004 to 2006 with my stint living in Sacramento, but since I've moved back to Memphis, no show has come even close to the quality of these guys. Don & Mike was a very unique show that didn't take any BS from its listeners. They were not there to f-ing impress you or bend to your will. Some see them as 'shock jocks', I just saw them as shooting the **** for four hours. The humor is juvenile, but it was a guilty pleasure. There have been enough dedicated fans of the show that they actually have digitally archived well over 1000 broadcasts of the Don & Mike show, and I will proudly listen to this show all day long at work until my superiors pry my speakers from my cold dead fingers. This show was 23 years of greatness, and I will spend the next several years catching up on all the wonderful moments. |

The only listenable talk radio show I've heard. I listened for 10 years, and there were days when I was laughing so hard that tears were running down my face, or times when I was laughing so hard, I thought I'd have to pull my car over. When the FCC cracked down and they had to bring in Beth Ann McBride (AKA Ratings Cancer McBride)as their producer the show got really hard to listen to. Still, it was a great show that leaves me with great memories. |

Loved their show in the 80s and early 90s. It got too fixated on Don (who got more bitter over time) and under-used Mike's talent. I tuned back in in 06-07 and found the show almost unlistenable. They'd become curmudgeons preaching inside jokes to the sub-set of fans who still followed them |

This show was never funny, consisting of an endless supply of cliched digs and clowning around. The conversation tended to go in a lot of circles. Improv is great when it works. But, this show just didn't have the 1) talent or 2) motivation to pull it off. |

This might be one of the worst radio shows on the air. Their humor is an acquired taste, which isn't great for the sinking radio ship these days. Ouch. |

Not as great as years ago, but you thank the FCC for that. Heaven forbid something 'dirty' is aired. Of course, we don't know what 'dirty' actually is, but our government is still protecting us from wrong thoughts. |

No content. No guests that are worth listening to. Lame contests. Lame contest prizes. It is obvious that all money that would be spent on show production or contests is going into large paychecks for someone. Too many Best Of Shows. Not funny anymore. When I do listen, it is because there is nothing else on. Bring back the Greaseman. |

Simply the best show on the radio after Howard Stern. I'm a native D.C. guy, and have listened to them since I was 12. Don and Mike have awesome on air chemistry that creates such entertaining shows. I love that about a good radio show, and with the exception of Howard and crew they do it better than everyone else. |

loved these guys years ago but Don is way to scared of the FCC since the Janet Jackson thing years ago. the show is ALL about Don. Mike and the rest of the crew are great when Don isn't on. the show was very funny years ago, now it's very boring. too bad Don is so self-centered. |

Yeah, compared to Iraqi radio they probably are pretty good. Afternoon radio talent in the DC area is very lame. Don and Mike have hit the wall. They were good. Nothing good lasts forever. They got their big payday and it seems that they are not motivated anymore. Thats OK. Good for them. Maybe they want to do somthing else. Great, I wish them all the best. What we need is new talent that has energy, somebody who is hungry. Lately, Don and Mike just talk to listeners on the phone. That gets old. The show needs content, fresh ideas. Not a Sermon, just a Thought. |

I STARTED LISTENING TO D&M IN THE MID 90'S. i JOINED THE MILITARY IN 04, AND HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE LOOP FOR QUITE SOME TIME DUE TO BEING IN IRAQ. DON AND MIKE HAVE ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD I THOUGHT I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE CRAPED MYSELF! I DIDN'T LEARN OF FREDA'S DEATH UNTIL OVER A YEAR AFTER IT HAPPENED. SO I AM STILL GETTING OVER THE SHOCK OF THAT.SITTING HERE READING THESE BLOGS JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW PEOPLE ARE NOT AS LOYAL AS THEY CLAIM TO BE. DON AND MIKE ARE BOTH EXCELLENT AT WHAT THEY DO, AND EVEN THOUGH THE SHOW HAS IS NOT THE SAME AS IS WAS 4 YEARS AGO PER SAY, IT IS FOR OBVIOUS REASONS!!!! DON JERONIMO,AND MIKE O'Meara ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST DAMN TALK SHOW HOST'S IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.ANYONE THAT DISPUTES THAT IS SHOULD SERIOUSLY CONSIDER STICKING THERE DICK IN A MEAT GRINDER FOR SOME TYPE OF UNJUSTIFIABLE PUNISHMENT. DON IF IN SOME WAY YOU READ THIS...... SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, AND KEEP ON KEEPING ON. D&M ARE FREAKING GODS!! |

They used to be entertaining. Not so much anymore. The FCC changes really hurt their act. Where is the show prep? Maybe a good producer could save this show. They seem tired to me. Not motivated. Nothing lasts forever. Hey JFK, bring back the Greaseman. |

dcrtv.com reports they are in a contract dispute with CBS Radio AGAIN!!! They probably won't be on the air until after the first of the year. Nice paid vacation? I still get tired of this kinda crap with these guys... I think they used to appreciate the listeners a whole lot more than they do now. Generally, they treat us like crap... |

Although they are having technical difficulties since moving to Rockville, the lives of these two are very interesting. Along with Mike's impersonations and Don's day to day trials, it is a refershing and very entertaining pass time for the ride home. |

Great show declining over time. I think the McBride years were the best after the FCC disaster. They had to be creative to evade the censors and it made the show smarter as a result. With the return of Strip Trivia I feel as though the show is stumbling backwards. Quick bits like Don's Blackberry, USA Todays Craig Wilson, the Feel Good stories, and special guest star drop-ins are what make this show fun for me. Do I care what others say about the show on DCRTV? No. Do Don and Mike? Yep. Is it annoying? Yep. Do I turn it off when their little infantile tirades annoy? Yep. Do I find Don's berating of staff uncomfortable? Yep. Still have the freedom to turn it off tho. Which I do a little more than I used to. Now I know how my wife feels about my coming home and ****ing about my work 4 hours a day - unfortunately she can't change the station and listen to something else. |

As someone who is a radio-phile and travels a lot, DC is VERY lucky to have Don and Mike. From Don's public handling of his wife's death to the minutia of the day-to-day sh!t life can throw at you, these guys are true pros. |

Flat, banal, juvenile humor from a couple of guys pushing 50! Don and Mike, you were SOMEWHAT funny back in the 80s but your sophomoric humor grew stale a long time ago. Turn off the mike (pun intended) and go home! |

I guess if you love them you rate a 5, if you are ok with them or don't like them you rate a 1. Not many posts are anywhere in between. I haven't listened for about 7 months and we all know why.. But was in my wife's car this week so I turned it on. I used to really love the guys in the late 90's but got sick of them pretty quickly. They try hard but it is just not to entertaining. At least it is talk radio. Regular music radio just is horrible. Satellite radio offers so much content, such a variety, no static when commuting, and more original content then even some television programs that regular radio can just not keep up anymore. Thanks. |

I'm a listener since the mid 80's.D&M still can put on a funny show from time to time but I think they've just gotten too old, tired and spoiled.Don used to tell listeners to "stop listening" a lot and a lot of them have. Also, the fact that Don has said he has enough money and really doesnt have to work anymore, shows. There's nothing worse than a rich DJ telling you he doesnt need you to listen. The fact they take 3 week vacations 2 or 3x a year can't really help either as far as growing or maintaining a new listener base.I hope the show can pick itself up out of the #15 ratings and go out on top.Maybe get some younger people on the show. It's sad because its like watching a favorite sports player play for too long knowing he shouldve retired. |

Talk about being the pulse of Washington, DC's men and woman in their 30/40s. These guys know radio and humor unlike the rest of the WJFK radio line up. Get Peter Loserburg off the radio station. |

It was said before. "Stern wannabes". All they do is talk about their private life. Can they write off their vacations and purchases once they talk about them on the air? What a waste of air-time. |

I have been listening to their show since its inception in 1985.They have provided me with much entertainment and laughs in those years. They were doing funny, edgy, grounbreaking radio all through the 1990's.Many bits O n A and their fans think they invented Don and Mike did long ago.(I'm a big O n A fan so no bias here).Don and Mike never got their due in syndaction because they should of been put in larger markets long before they ever got the chance.By that time they were set up to fail. The Greaseman getting his huge deal and failing miserably really hurt their chances for real syndication. Also this misconception that Don and Mike are so old is ridiculous. While they are getting older(who isn't?)they or only a few years younger than O n A and considerably younger than Stern. These days the FCC dictates what kind of show they can really put on.Now that time has passed since Freda has passed I think you will see and edgier funnier show again. All Hail my radio gods DON AND MIKE!!! |

Have been listening since the WAVA days and they are by far the funniest thing i have heard on the air since the Greaseman was taken off of DC101. They are a Love or hate group and you either are for them or against them. There is no midle ground with them. They are hella more funny than Stern ever was at any time in his career. Junkies don't stand a chance against them. They make my drive home a very happy ride home and i never tire of Don's rants or Mike's voices. I hope they keep it up for a few more years!! |

USED to be the funniest show on radio. Don, do us all a favor and retire NOW. The show, like its crew, is old and tired. Only Buzz Burbank is still funny, and sadly, there is never enough of him. Don and Mike were topical and funny in 1998 and 1999 during the Clinton "Gentleman's Relish" years. What have you done for us lately?? |

Sometimes they are juvenille and not funny, often times they waste too much time taking calls from idiot listeners. But I always tune in every day from 3-4 to hear what is going on in their lives. Rob is annoying and only makes them laugh, not the audience. |

These guys have something funny to say from time to time, but fill in the gaps with too much boring or annoying crap. I like talk radio for my afternoon hour commute, and after giving them a few months to see what they could offer, I switched to books on tape. BTW Don & Mike, before you blow off a comment like this... I AM your target audience, and I DID turn you off. Buzz is the only guy on the show I can stand, and hate to hear D & M cutting him off constantly. Again, I've heard you comment on others on this very topic and you said that that's part of your bit, to cut into Buzz's news and comments. I think he should be more featured, and not overshadowed by the weaker players on that team. Lastly, I used to listen to you on 102.7 in NYC year ago and more recently on WJFK in D.C.... I HAVE given you ample time to impress me, and you haven't. I never listen to you any more. |

your kidding right? Why is this show even allowed to be rated? They are horrible, Infinity has no faith in them eventhough they have been in radio for decades. Howard is gone and these 2 bores were passed over for a washed up Ex-80's rocker... Great careers there |

This show used to be fantastic. Now that they can't do classic bits like "the vibrator olympics" and "phone destruction", the show is just plain boring. All Don does is complain and treat callers like dirt. Now bring them to Satrad and let them do their bits again and we may have something. |
